Angry Crashed my ninja 300:(

So I have been riding for more than 2 years never had a crash despite hitting the hills every other weekend. As I went to work the other day it was raining I had to break harder than usual as a light changed and did it right over a metal man hole, front wheel locked up to fast to correct it and I high sided over the front.

Wearing all the gear apart from kevlar pants because I was in my work uniform so just lots of bruising and some skin of my knee.

3K? That sucks! Glad you're okay mate, could have been worse you know.

This is the reason why I do not depend on the front brakes excessively during bad weather and sandy or rocky roads. If the rear tyre slips you have more chance of recovering but if the front locks up, you are almost literally fkd. ( Learnt that lesson the hard way ) The only safe time to use maximum front brake is in a straight line when you have good clean dry roads.

Most of th damage is cosmetic... So don't worry about it too much. Glad you weren't hurt too bad... Dibs on the throttle bodies if insurance totals it... Lol

Still a beautiful bike, Nick.

Now you are experienced on rainy riding and slippery manholes.

Hope that knee will heal quickly.

Da poor 300, I just want to hug it
Thankfully it looks cosmetic for the most part.

Definitively poor wording; ............initiated on water-lubricated manholes maybe?................, I am not experienced on the subject.

Still sounds questionable. Try replacing 'manhole' with 'cast iron disc for street access of waste water tunnels'.

Thankfully only cosmetic damage.

Next time you will be more careful in spotting 'manholes' on the road. You are an experienced 'manhole' crasher j/k

Glad your ok. Insurance will take care of the bike assuming you've got full coverage. $3k is a lot for just those pics, lol.

As far as braking, I always use rear more in slippery conditions. Thought this was one of those key things to remember. Anyone confirm or deny?
