Buy a cheap pair of over ear headphones and cut em up... You shouldn't have any issues. Alternatively, any voice blue tooth set will let you listen to music too...

And the fact that you gotta keep charging them... why don't you buy a cheap nokia stereo Bluetooth thingie and attach it to your headphones?

I bought the sena smh-5 just to listen to music with my ipod touch. It works as well as I can ask for the $97 I paid.

Sound quality isn't what I'd call awesome but what can you expect when it has to contend with wind, road, and engine noise. But I found the volume on it's max setting with my earplugs in to be pretty much perfect. It's just loud enough when moving along to become non distracting background music.

The best thing about it is the ability to control the ipod touch through the sena unit itself; volume, play, pause, track forward/back, and voice control. The controls are very intuitive, and very easy to use without taking away any ability to pay attention to the road.

To be honest. It made motorcycling, which is already pretty sweet, even better.

I have this Noland N20 helmet that comes with Communtcation system and Speaker + Mic...never use it but with all those wind noise i doubt it would work the way it should.

I tried a couple times with little success. I first tried the Motorola S9s they worked great but the ear buds were to big to attach anywhere comfortable and would need glue in place. So next I tried was with a pair of LG HBS-700s the ear buds worked great and I stitched a tube to the bottom back of the helmet to put the receiver section in and it would have worked perfect but to put it on was a mess. To use it you had to slide the reciever in the tube set the helmet on your head put the headphones in your ear then pull the helmet down, it sounds easier than it was.

With headphones, the actual speaker part is pretty small, so you could cut about half of the bulk off to make them small. I need to look at helmets more, but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to cut up a pair and integrate the speakers in. Velcro would probably be best so it's removable.

I second the Sena. I use the SMH-10 (I think thats right) it's the more advanced one. I use it when going out on group rides to talk to others who have it, or I can have people call me while riding, but mostly I use it to listen to pandora on my phone. Everytime I ride I listen to music. Quality is good enough. I also always have it at max with me earplugs in (i never use it unless I have earplugs, it'll hurt my ears even when not on max and I always find it harder to comprehend what's being said, earplugs make it clear and easy to hear). I deff recommend it. if not the SMH 10, then the 5, which is just as useful. Cheers.

Issues: Headphone speakers are not flat and not all helmets have enough room at your ears. Some helmets, like those from GMAX, have speaker pockets there with plenty of room. For many others you can buy flat speakers for cheap. The issue with adapting generic stuff is that it won't do any fancy road noise elimination or automatic volume adjustment. Also, not nearly every voice bluetooth set will do music! Only those that support A2DP profile.

I have a Parrot SK4000 kit that has a handlebar remote, FM radio, TTS Caller ID, and voice-control. My main issue is that the bike's electrical system interferes with the wireless handlebar remote, limiting useful range enough that it may as well be on your helmet so you are stooping toward your handlebars.
