Face down, A$$ up!

I lucked out bigtime today! I have been wanting to raise the rear end of my Ninjette for a while. I am fairly tall and didn't like the leg positioning, and after getting the Yoshi rearset adjusters (which are AWESOME for those who wish to know!), I still wanted a little less rake and more road clearance in the twisties. I had a pair of $20 aero signals (they were new) and a friend is restoring a 98 Gixxer 750 S-RAD/Telfonica hybrid and needed some. His bike was lowered and he hated it. I traded the signals straight up for a set of Vortex dogbones that lower the Gixxer. I know the Hyabusa links do raise the rear, but these are the $#!+! It gives me the ability to lower the rear 1/2" from stock and raise it up 1" and 1 3/4".. I am extatic about how it feels now to sit and stand... I haven't had time to test ride it yet as I did the wrenching earlier at around 8PM, and it is now 3AM, but daylight is coming! It is too damn cold here to ride at night yet.

I have come to the realization though.. It is done.. Aside from the coming Yoshi frame sliders, my Yoshi Edition Ninjette is as cold, sexy, and fast as I can make her! I feel like I have spent my money in the right places and she came out so clean! I am kinda disappointed that all I get to look forward to now is mostly maintenence.

Here a some of the Vortex links and the new rearset adjusters. It makes all the difference in the feel of the bike. The stance is more agressive and it feels like I don't have to work as hard to hold a curve.

The rear end of my Thunder Blue Ninjette is 1/2 inch higher than my girl's Passion Red one behind it, and she has a 150/70 Metzeler on the rear and I have a 150/60 Michelin. Check out how little tire sticks above the exhaust on mine! It looks so good!

Also, check out the Yoshi reaset adjusters. They are machined to fit like a glove people, and the quality is rediculously awesome! What else would you expect from Yoshimura?

Not the end of mods! You can consider Woodcraft risers to lower your handlebars, an aftermarket shock ($$$), and an aftermarket Yoshi carb!

Bike looks good

You haven't even scratch the surface of potential subtle mods you can do to your bike. If you can stop modding after this then good for you because in my case it's been a slippery slope to which I see no end

there are many things on the bike that could be improved,
building is half of the fun.

i'll keep this short, when applied to racing, this setup is much too aggressive. did you lower the fork tubes in the clamps to at least comensate a little?

Go check out some of the posts made by Rexbo. He makes his own raising links for the back and his front is lowered as well. He seems to know what he's doing and he's done quite well racing.

Just for clarity, were those links intended for a GSXR 1300 Hyabusa or a '98 GSXR 750? IOW, what would we order?

Ok. My point stems from years of setup experience and from the tips thst have been discussed with multiple industry greats. But I do understand there are multiple povs. Glad it works for them. Rife safe.
