I saw a large albino stag with a full set of antlers on Route 28 on Sunday just after sunset. A bit south of Dickerson past Lewis Orchard. He was up on a cleared field about 50 yards to my right and stared down at me.

My first time seeing an albino deer. Well, it was a mostly white stag. I thought it was a horse because of the coloration. The body was nearly all white with a few brown spots near the neck. I think his head was mostly brown. There wasn't much sunlight, and I only saw it for a few seconds.

I wonder if he was related to the fawn I nailed this past summer? He had a little harem of at least 3 does.

It's been a very long time since I've posted. My bike has been up on a stand all winter due to the cold/ice. BUT (and it's somewhat far away), I'm looking to do a cross country trip from the philly region to california and back. I did a solo trip from Mechanicsburg to Tail of the Dragon this past year and it was phenomenal. Now I want to go further! Since it is so much further though, I am looking for someone to ride with on the trip. I'm shooting for maybe April/May of 2016, 2-3 weeks for the trip. If you are of the adventurous type and would like to join me, let me know! I'd like to start planning in the next month or so.

I'd love to do a trip like that! there are so many amazing roads on the western half of this country. can't say what I'll be doing from one season to the next, though if I could get someone to watch my dog I'd be all over it. I usually prefer to travel alone but that's not a very good idea on a motorcycle...

The Timonium Motorcycle Show is going on tomorrow and Sunday at the Cow Palace in the Maryland State Fairgrounds on York Rd in Timonium, MD from 10am-9pm tomorrow and 10am-6pm Sunday. $17 to get in. there's some pretty cool stuff, I worked there today but I'm not going tomorrow/sunday. it's worth seeing

I'm still looking for a Harley Davidson t-shirt to trade in for a new one from Indian. I think any t-shirt is alright as long as it's from a "competing brand." I've tried a few local thrift shops without any luck. The closest that I found was a SIDI boots t-shirt, but I don't think that qualifies. The promo ends at the end of this month.

it's perfect weather to be stuck inside working all day every day this weekend

I've been able to go on a few quick rides though (my front tire is holding all it's air at the moment but I have an eye on that psi) and the roads have been getting better each day. With the exception of the corner that I lowsided in last year which is god awful right now...there is literally no line that can be safely taken that doesn't involve using the other lane. I'm about ready to head over there with a broom and sweep it up, but not before getting a picture of how ridiculously dangerous flooding + potholes + gravel can look

how much does a set of track tires run you?

I'm probably going to run sets of dunlop GP-A that cost $280 a set ($210 discount because the GP-A PRO exists now) and last 2-4 track days/races

It is tempting to run dunlop N-TEC slicks for $330 a set but those only last a day and they're done...amazing grip compared to anything I've been on though

Deep helped me out the other day when the tail assembly on my GSX650 was falling off, and I was telling him that I planned to sell it and buy a track toy. He was telling me about a girl he knows who just put back together a CBR and was selling it. Is that you?

hahhaa!! yes that's me! but I don't work there, I work at a different shop in the area. I know deep quite well

the f4i is almost done. I'm planning on selling it but not as a track bike, since it has a clean title and I'm putting in the effort to install a manual cam chain tensioner and put mirrors and stuff on it. it should be 100% ready to ride for the season when I put it on craigslist but I was gonna ask around $4,000. I dont care what the next owner does with it, but if youre looking for a track only bike, you can get a one a lot cheaper than that. I bought it for $500 so Im trying to make some cash lol

I may in fact get a street-legal bike, just because I probably can't go between track days without getting at least a short ride here and there in -- I only do 5 or 6 track days a year. So I may keep an eye out for you. BUT: I've kinda' had a crush on the old 636 for a lot of years, and may finally use this as an excuse to get one. They're pretty rare to find (without stupid sh*t all over them), but I'll be keeping an eye out once my bike sells.

the 636 is a really really nice bike! I like the 05-06. give me a shout whenever if you are interested in the f4i, price is negotiable I need to get the title transferred on monday, I guess it'll take 2 weeks to get here so I'm hoping to put it up on craigslist by the end of march.

1st rider gave up after 300 miles. 2nd rider gave up after another 300 miles.

Then again, the previous rider of my Ninja 250 only went 50 miles and let it sit for 2 years before I bought it.

Anyone down for a local ride? I am located in Silver Spring, MD. I mainly ride up to Gaithersburg and make my way down 28 towards Point of Rocks and split towards VA or Frederick. I am generally available weekends.
