2010 Ninja 250r Special edition with many upgrades - California
I know I know, Its probably a bad thing to put this up for sale on ninjette but its time for something new. I'll be back and buy a 250r again later, I just need something different. This is straight from my craigslist ad. Price is $4500 obo
I have my 2010 Ninja 250R Special Edition for sale. This is the only year they made the 250 in a red and black. I have put a lot of work into this bike and have always maintained it with perfection. Oil has been changed every 2000-3000miles with mobile 1 fully synthetic race oil and a K&N filter, chain is lubed every 200-300miles. I have 4 or 5 filters left over ($40 worth of filters) If you would like I will show you how to do the first oil change, it will save you $80 each oil change! Now for the list of aftermarket parts, there's a lot, basically anything that can be added to this bike has. To start it has a Full Area P 12" race mount carbon fiber exhaust with a custom exhaust hanger, paired with a K&N pod filter and a custom dynojet kit. This bike is dialed in perfectly and pulls hard through all the gears. I have added a hotbodies fender eliminator kit, custom flush mount rear signals, brake light modulator, Shogun frame sliders, coolant was flushed and changed with engine ice, HID headlights, double Bubble wind screen, Moth custom red rearsets, and custom fairing LEDs for a body glow. For electronics I have added a micro USB charger to charge my phone while I use GPS and a headphone jack so you can listen to music while you ride. Right now there is an HTC Evo 4g mount on the bike that can be taken out if you wish. The bike has a battery tender/ accessories hook up and Lo Jack (I saved $300 a year on insurance with the Lo Jack!) And finally the bike has a gear indicator and a shift light, this is the only 250r in the United States with a gear indicator, completely programed and created by a friend. Perfect for a beginner so they know what gear they are in all the time. The bike has just less than 13,000 miles and runs amazingly, valves were just done early and oil was just changed, has Bridgestone BT-016 tires that only have 2000 miles on them, good for another 5 or 6000 miles. I did drop the bike once at about 20mph from hitting gravel, so there is a tiny scratch on the fairing but no cracks at all. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, you can give me a call/text or email me. My name is Kevin 714-472-7598

sad to see you go kevin, but everybody moves on eventually.
on a side note, you might be better off taking all your mod parts off and selling separately. also i'd buy that HTC evo mount from you. |

Getting a new bike too, but I vowed to keep my Ninjette also. Stuntbike for real! Always wanted one.
Good luck with the sale brother. Don't forget about us. You're a good kid. That's a nice bike too I worked on it myself and got jealous it wasn't mine. Now is a good time to sell a ninjette. I don't see them on the floor. (Japan Nuclear disaster?) You may be able to get a nice price for it. Specially in this condition. He lucked out.. there's practically no damage from the lowside. I don't know how everyone gets so lucky when they crash it... but mine tweeked real good lol. Any time I sold any of my bikes, I always felt terrible for it. Partially because I always let them go too cheap and partially because I never usually replace it right away immediately even though I want to. It usually takes me a minute. now days I won't sell any bike I have until I have the next bike already. hehe Not happy without two wheels. Life just isn't life unless you're flying through the air on a uni-seat with some pistons banging around under it.

You'll miss it when she's gone.
I missed all my bikes, even that nasty R6 I hated. Just be sure to get something else quick.. so you don't notice you miss 'er. (like every girl I was ever with did to me lol) You don't want a lapse in time between bikes or you'll be regretting it for sure. When I sold my last Suzi I forgot I even had the Ninjette in the garage still, crashed repaired and all. Adrian called me up and said he was riding GMR again and I pulled the ninjette out, cleaned the gum out the carbs and got her running again and went riding with adrian. lol. Here I am.. I was totally stoked I still had it in the garage for sure. The ninja was great for learning clutch wheelies and then transferring them to a larger bike. Also learned about $15,000 lesson in body positioning and bike cornering.. (thankfully it was $$$ and not skin and bones!) Money grows on trees I can ALWAYS get more, can't get more bones. Still using it to learn real stunts and low speed control. Picked up a shiton from KKim about working on bikes too and carbs and jetting and all that good stuff. Not a bad bike but not the end all machine. I can see why you want to move to something else.

If it looks good (can't see it in your pics), I'll trade a stock right passenger peg and mount +$ for the exhaust hanger (assuming it works with the stock exhaust). You can have my left passenger peg and mount too.

That is a very nice bike Kevin!! I think you are asking a fair price for it too so you should have no problems selling it. I'm tempted to buy it but then I'd be the owner of two 250s and an angry wife.

sorry to see it go brother! glad ur gonna stick around. i feel ya on needing something new. my plan is to save $$$ for a zx-6r for the track next season, still gonna keep my zx-2r tho for the street. i dont need a bike that does more than 100mph for street riding. i am dying to get tracking tho and hopefully do the superbike school when it comes my way next year too.
good luck w the sale!

I am not sure, but it seems like you like your new bike.
Problem with trading is most dealers don't account for all the aftermarket parts / accessories, so he will probably get screwed over.

It might be a bit high for the moment - the end of riding season.
It's honestly a good deal for what it is but that doesn't necessarily mean people are going to come running right now unfortunately... |

You should try taking normal pictures of the bike without wide angle effects and silly angles and lighting. There isn't one single picture showing the bike clearly. GLWS

Kevin, are you aware your post on craigslist was flagged as spam? That might be why you are not getting any offers. That link "selling my 250" sends me to a "post has been flagged as spam".

They are mad about your price I think maybe. Anyone can get you flagged too.
They have forums on craigslist where everyone talks sh*t about all the posted adds. Also, if you ask full price you can't say it's been down, even if nothing happened. I find just not saying it was down and having them come look if they don't ask is the way to go. Then just say ah it's got a scratch here and there cause I tipped it. Unless you linked to another site or mentioned a brand you weren't allowed to.. or offered work or teaching. Been there, done that.. offering illegal mechanic work on craigslist. Technically you should be able to get that price but you're going to have to sit on it for ever and bump it every day. You need the right buyer and bikes aren't moving very well right now. you can also put it on Ebay as pick-up only item. Nationwide. Or take forever and part it out.. OR what you should really do is use it as a downpayment on a good USED bike from a dealer. They won't take too crappy of bikes used and they typically service it before resale. Like that black and gold 1K for 10K I told you about. there's this place off De-soto in Chatsworth just south of 118 that sells nice used GSXR's for like $5000. I seen 750's and 1K's and 600's all 2003 and above a whole bunch of used ones in fair to nice condition. 2005's and 2007's also. They have R6 and 636 and honda too, even 250's. Call me up and we'll take your bike down there and wheel and deal with them. Couldn't hurt to see what they say man. That's all I did and look I'm on the 750! Just had to try.

Maybe you have someone who is competing and doesn't like your price so he/she is flagging you to reduce competition.

it all depends on your local market. i've seen dealers in my area sell brand new 09 250's for $3k and then there are ppl on craigslist trying to sell theirs for $4k. why not look into trading it in at a dealer?

I think your problem might be it's on the high end of the 250 market. Mostly newbs buying 250s and maybe they don't want to drop the money on such a modded one.
Not knocking your sale though it's a really nice 250 and I know you've got lots of time and money into it. Good luck. |

Just know HB that you aren't going to get anything extra at a dealership for your mods... actually they will probably knock down the price because of it. If at all possible if you honestly plan to go to the dealer with it... return it to stock as much as you possibly can... you'll honestly get more for it that way and then you can still sell off your aftermarket parts... just sayin'
