So i went to the dealer

....to look at an 03 shadow 750 that was there on consignment. turns out it sold that morning...
heartbroken, i walked around sitting on other bikes, some gixxers, cbrs, Fz's/R's, and various cruisers, then as i was walking out i stumbled upon this.

A 2006 Triumph Speed Triple.
1050cc 7400 miles.
it had been traded in the night before and was its the first day on the lot.
I've always loved street fighters, and this one sucked me in. I put 100$ down Saturday to hold her and came back Monday.
The guy who brought it in also brought along new Michelin Pilot Powers which the dealer put on for free along with an oil & filter change.
It came with a few aftermarket parts as well, very tasteful i think.
my ninja W/ full muzzy is actually louder.

these headlight have grown so much on me

impressions:
this motor makes so much torque across the RPM range.... its just stupid. i ride around shifting at 3-4k. throttle response is excellent, but not scary, unless you want it to be i am glad i rode my 250 for as long as i did though. it was excellent experience. i also love the instrument gauge, analogue tach with digital speedo, yes plz! select-able settings: water temp, avg MPG, Trip MPG, avg and top speed.

the suspension is a bit stiff around town, but rides like its on rails around the good twisties. seating position and comfort is amazing. the bars are just enough to keep me upright and not hurt my back, but low enough to still have a sporty feel. i don't really notice the lack of a windscreen or fairing, I think the stock pre-gen screen made things worse for me, pushing turbulent air at my helmet.

Beautiful bike!! I've got a soft spot for Triumphs because they're so different from everything else on the market.

still have her
i take her to work and around town. still have modding plans with her too. 08 swing-arm swap and possibly forks, but that stuff's gonna take some saving up... guess ill just have to hang on to it till then!! plus I've always wanted to do some body work, possibly with fiberglass

Setasai and I are going to be experimenting with fiberglass fairings and possibly carbon fiber in the future. We should collaborate together http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=85052
