I use vortex, the parts are cheap to replace. The set is not cheap but at least replacement parts are.

Maybe a used oem set will work if someone wants to part with them?

Vortex Not for the win. I have vortex and it bent my frame during a lowside at the track prior to the race. Hence why I'm looking for stockers that would break apart instead of bending my frame...again.

It's pretty common, our frames are really weak. If you're lucky you can bend it back with a little heat. If you're unlucky then you need to do some welding

I was pretty sad when ninja-turtle wasn't able to race with us because of that issue

I missed the race but later on (after I went home) was able to bend it back with some heat on it. Coincidentally just the day before two other track buddies were telling me to install relocates and utilize stock pegs instead. A track day or two prior anot her buddy crashed his 250 and it completely ripped apart that side of his frame.

I' just need to find a spare set to carry with me at all times just incase

What about the cheapy rear sets on ebay from hong kong/china? They aren't expensive and look alright and I imagine they bust up nicely in a crash. Anyone here used them?

Old thread revival...
Question for all the guys running OEM rearsets on track, any grip issues with the rubber pegs?
We race in the wet quite a bit down here.

The 300s are a bit different as they have regular metal pegs instead of the 250 rubber.

I thought the pegs were fine, but not as grippy as I would want. I ended up replacing just the peg on the rear set with PSR SBK pegs, and have been really happy with them.

Good idea. I have a few sets of pegs laying around, should be able to retrofit a pair on there.
