Wanted 3mm Washers for shimming

Hey fellas,

A friend and I are looking for 3mm washers for shimming our ninjettes. We've been around town looking and have had little luck and bad customer service. So, I had to resort to this.

If anyone has spares and could mail them to me, it would be great. I messaged the guys in the other threads that are offering but have had no replies

I am in need for 8. 2 under each needle for 2 bikes.

Thank You all for the help I've already received and will continue to do so. This forum rules.

Where have you looked for them? My local Lowes has them. Radio Shack does too.

I just bought a 100-pack set of washers at Radio Shack for $2, the pack contains 20 #4 washers.

The few Lowes and Home Depots in my area did not have them. We don't have Radio Shack, its now The Source and they didn't have them either. The search continues....

no one in Toronto has either 3mm or #4 SAE washers? How about autoparts stores?

Haven't searched all of Toronto, just around in my area, a little out of Toronto. No auto part stores close by. But the search continues....

Canadians use metric, so SAE is probably as hard to find there as metric is here. My local Lowe's had the washers in stock, plenty of them, but a fairly limited selection of metric hardware.

TSC, Home Depot, Lowes, Home Hardware, Canadian Tire..... the list goes on. You need to look! Both SAE or Metric. Take your verniers along and measure.

Instead of being so focused on getting the EXACT washers, take your needle with you and find ones that fit.

not sure if you're a amazon prime member or not, but they sell these. I used these exact washers on my bike when I shimmed it. Only $. 76.

I happen to have a prime membership. PM me if you want me to get these for you.

Thank you all for the support so far.

Natalie: I might take you up on that offer. Let me look around first before I give you the trouble.

Kelly: Thanks for asking others to mail me some washers if they have extra, I always hope for that but it'd be too easy....

So I'll be going into town (Toronto) next weekend for a mass search of these washers and also to check out this new bike showroom/apparel place that opened up. I am sure I'll be successful then. I'll keep you guys posted.

I would like to thank everyone that helped me with suggestions and ideas.

But special thanks goes to choneofakind. He had spare washers and took down my address to see how much it would cost to ship them to me. Instead, he just shipped it and didn't even ask me to pay. I am truly thankful sir. I was gonna make a trip to Toronto just searching for washers. I am amazed by the good people this forum has and will definitely not think when I am able to return the favor for somebody.

Hats off, choneofakind, thank you very much.

Well it was actually $1.29, so that would be 3 stamps. Still not bad considering how far it's going

and I guess it's ok to mail stuff through the UNITED STATES postal service to CANADA... I asked the guy behind the counter and he said it was no big deal. who knew?

I would also like to take the time to thank all of the people on this forum for all of the great advice, suggestions, help and some good reads . It has greatly helped me in many ways to understand my bike as this is my first bike.

I would like to especially thank nattygirl for also taking time and money to send me the 3mm washers. I looked everywhere locally as well to look for those washers and had no luck in finding them as well. Natalie did not even asked for any reimbursement of any sort. I truly thank you!
