Cool 1 year ago.

I rode my first street bike for the first time...on a barf group ride and met @Jiggles. Weird, a year went by fast. I survived on the street with no accidents or tickets.

It's been an interesting journey. I've experienced all kinds of stuff. I have the craziest stories and have met some cool people. What's amazing is how much I've learned and grown after beating the hell out of my 250.

Thanks @Alex for having such a great forum for noobs and ninjette lovers alike.

So I know I complain about the little ninja but after going on a long commute/fun ride I can't think of a better do it all bike for me. This year I'm just going to keep it and mod it how I want. Then maybe add a another bike to the stable. Opposite end of the spectrum, I'm thinking a liter bike. And I guess I can't claim to be a street noob anymore. Maybe my advice is worth a couple cents now.

Congratulations, Cameron !!!

You are more the exception than the rule.
Now, you will be much safer than you ever were among cars.

Stay alert and sharp !!!

I feel like such a slacker because you've ridden almost as many miles in 1 year as I've ridden in 3...

But I like your posts, so keep 'em coming.

Chone, I'm having an issue with my registration and I had to go talk to the dealer about getting a title transferred. This guy sells used motos with like 400 miles on the clock, so you basically get a new bike without the dealership fees.

Anyway I pull up and he's like did you even ride the thing? He looked over at the odometer and saw the 17k and was all holy crap! I've never seen one of my 250s come back with this kind of mileage without getting crashed or traded in. Which is mostly why I want to keep it. No one wants to pay a lot of money for a 250 with almost 20k on it and as a commuter bike I couldn't think of a better bike for a midget such as myself. In San Francisco it works great. The motards aren't practical for long freeway use and they are super theft magnets in sf.

Mine has 21 on the clock! no accidents as of yet! (knock on wood)

That's a great deal, a ninja with <1000 miles? That's brand new!!
