Bike was insured. He's not too worried about the money portion of it. He's happy he's not dead, or even worse, a vegetable. Obviously his eyes have been opened and he's singing a different tune about some things but he will always have that urge to ride.

People have been telling him and me over the last few days that he's lucky I was there for him, etc, etc. To be honest I did what any person should do. I'm actually the lucky one to be friends with this guy. He is the embodiment of what a friend is and how one should stay positive even in a tragedy. I'm proud of him.

Maybe he will lose the "urge" but retain the passion for ridding!

Urge runs on impulse while the passion for the sport runs deeper than the jolt of adrenalin and feeling of power as we roll on the throttle!
Glad he is not a quitter

You are right stuff in life isn't important what makes it worth living is the people in your life and the relationships you share w them.

Glad he learned from the whole ordeal... Realizing how delicate life is changes everything.

He is broken and not defeated! Heal and conquer !
He is lucky u have for his back!

Good luck w everything and some day it will make a hell of a story.

Good - that's the test IMO.

Going down hard will make anyone question their decision to ride, some will say no way, but those that chose to get back on are the real riders.

Best of luck on a quick and full recovery.
