Going To Get Bike From Private Seller

Going to buy a bike from a private seller in a few days and wondering how I should get it back? Should I get someone to drive me there? I don't have access to a pickup. Any other suggestions? Will it be legal to ride it back?

What about renting a UHAUL truck? Or would that be a waste of money?

i dont think its legal anywhere though (without license) that was my prob too...i bought one last week from a private owner n had it all planned out...but i didnt plan soon enough since i needed it that morning but i guess i never knew u had to get the hitch joint? dont know what its called but i was assuming that if i rented a hitch for my tahoe then they would include it but no, they sell it though for like $50+....waste...places should include that since we are renting hitches, so y would we have the connecting ball joints? stupid

uhaul...i checked but its rent n through mileage n this was a 2hr drive...so uhaul was outta the pic...so we had to pick up a buddy who was an hr away n then ride another 2 hr to get there...all in all...a whole day for me...n buddy almost got ran over by a crazy woman on the phone so be careful

if the place is close by, get a uhaul...if its far n u have no buddies to ride it...hitch (plus stupid balls) since its not by mileage but by day but i dont know how ur area charges...but thats my experience so good luck

I had an 09 ninja and rode it for almost a year, so I am pretty accustomed to it. I think I will be good if I have to ride it back.

It's about 3 hours away.

If you don't have a tag for it, you'll have to haul it. A rental truck is a nice way. A trailer might also be an option. Make sure whatever you get has plenty of tie down points for your straps.

If you are an experienced rider, putting your plate on it and just riding it home might also be an option.

If you don't live too far, ask the seller if he'd be willing to ride it to your house. That's what I did with this bike, but it was only 7 miles, and his dad followed us.

Just fill out a Bill of Sale form (give a copy to the seller, keep the other copy for your self)

With the Bill of Sale and the title, you prob won't have any trouble in the case you get pulled over for not having plates.

Since you didn't indicate if you have a licence or not,
