Rea/Akiyoshi/Okada win 2012 Suzuka 8-Hours for Honda
 Jonathan Rea becomes the first British rider to win the Suzuka 8-Hours race with F.C.C. TSR Racing team; Toho Racing with Moriwaki Honda team finish second, Yamaha France GMT94 thirdJonathan Rea became the first British rider to be part of the winning team at the famed Suzuka 8-Hours race, with Rea, Japanese superbike rider Kousuke Akiyoshi, and veteran GP pilot Tadayuki “Tady” Okada taking victory in the 2012 running of the event on the F.C.C. TSR Racing Honda CBR1000RR. The winning trio finished four laps ahead of the surprisingly quick Toho Racing with Moriwaki Honda squad of Yuki Takahashi, Tetsuya Yamaguchi and Yusuke Teshima on another CBR. Finishing less than a lap behind was World Endurance regulars Yamaha France GMT94, comprised of David Checa and Kenny Foray.
