Shimming Needles - Dallas/Fort Worth

I know this is a topic beaten to death... however to avoid "takin it apart, testing and taking it apart again" who in the DFW region has shimmed their needles for a Two Brothers Slip On and how many washers per needle improved the "bogging" in lower and mid range? Did you remove snorkel as well. That info will help in a one time only adjustment.... thanx...

I have done it on two different '08 250s. With a slip-on and the snorkel removed, I have found that three washers worked the best. But that's just my findings. Let me know if you need/want any help.

This Saturday I plan on installing WC clipons, adjust the chain, and change the oil. If I have time I'll try to shim the needles. I'd like to get to know some local 250 riders

I thought that shimming the needles (the amount of washers used) all depends on the bike -- not the mods done to it.

Roughly speaking, mods that increase airflow will like getting more fuel -- more washers or bigger jets.

Where are you riding and when are you riding? I'd love to get out in this fine weather and ride with some other ninjettes!

Eric.. sorry I mixed up my dates... this weekend (Int. Motorcycle Show), the group ride isn't until the Thanksgiving weekend (28th or 29th)... my mistake.
