Thanks Max, you were right btw. The grips get dirty quick lol. I think they'll look real nice with the pazzos and front brake reservoir cap though.

@Eric: Nope lol. I've had them since I've been going to the meet up. I dont think you ever looked at my bike before though lol

It must be the point in time where you realize you're the fastest color and want to remind others it's still a 250

So I installed red bar ends, red front brake cap, and red fuel cap screws. Here's a nice picture of it:

Only bad thing is, I tightened my right bar end way too tight, and when I went out for a ride my throttle was sticking. So I had to turn back. Tried getting it off, but the bolt is rather crappy, and stripped right away. I didnt want to have to screw it off and ride without a bar end again, especially since I finally got these on, so I just cut off part of my grip that was rubbing against the bar end.

I did a bad job at the cut, but its not enough to bother me, just yet....

^ As you can see, pretty crappy job. I was pissed at the time so yeah... lol. I was thinking, maybe I could get new grips, cut open the bottom, and glue in on the bar, with the open cut on the bottom so no one would notice, but Im not sure. I'd need some good glue just to make sure it doesnt come off.

Till it bothers me enough, I'll keep it the way it is right now. :-\

Sorry for all the bad quality pics btw, I've been using my phone mostly for all the pictures. Im still meaning to get around to that video. I have red pazzos coming in wednesday. So Im excited.

So far everything anodized, from the rearsets, to the bar ends, cap, and screws, all match, and Im very pleased with the look :-)

Yeah, me too, cause I'd have a white one for sure, not a black one. When I was shopping, nobody could get me a white one. I'm happy with the way my black one is looking though, so I'm not too upset about it anymore.

Yeah, I think the reason they sold me my bike so expensive is because it's hard to find around here.

BTW... If you are looking for fasteners. Best place to look is Ace hardware stores. Or any hardware store for that matter. Homedepot and Lowes are Home improvement stores and their fastener selection sucks.

I found stainless flathead hex drive screws that look factory when installed.

For the record, not sure if there is a slight power loss or not... i think so... but dont know why and cant exactly nail if there is or not.

By power loss I mean acceleration "kick". Cant tell if its as fast as before or not. Going on a ride soon, will see if I can pull away from everyone or not. I think Im fine and it was just cause I was riding at like 6 am.

M8x1.25 x 50mm Stainless, Flat head, Hex Drive

This is what you are looking for. For some reason I cannot get the specific fastener listing to link. The one I'm talking about is on pg 3115 of thier electronic cataloge

To remove the bar ends I drilled the head of the stock phillips screw. Removed the bar end.
Heated the exposed screw with a torch to loosen the red loctite.
Then used a pair of pliers to turn the screw.

When reinstalling the new bar end screws, I ran a M8 tap in the threads to clean out the old loctite. Then reinstalled using blue loctite.

As for an update on the bike and all motorcycle related stuff:

Pulled out my snorkle friday, also put it back in friday night because after riding it a little, I notice it really ran horrible. It runs good now and what not. Trying to see my gas milage, I feel like it's been really weird lately, but cant tell.

Im trying to finally start vlogging, even though I already did 2 official ones, I want to redo since the mic quality was rather, loud. I couldnt find my mic, so I ordered a new one today for only $16, which is about 10 to 15 dollars cheaper then what I would have had if I got it from the actual site. Expecting it thursday. Finally going to get the youtube channel running and what not correctly. Any who, I will update the forum with pictures soon Better ones. I just cant find my camera... x-)

Cool

A couple updated shots. Doing this from my phone, so hopefully they're the right ones. a daytime pic and a night time one i just took now at work lol. Hotbodies windscreen. Pazzos. ect.

Future things I want:
Clips ons, Possibly red preload adjusters from japan, carbon fiber tank huggers and new grips. x-)

On a skillful note, I rode the highway for the first time ever tonight. Greatest thrill ever. Ive done 60 to 75 before, but on empty streets and not legally or for long lol. The high way was awesome, a lot less scary then what i imagined. Not getting cocky though. I was gripping the tank pretty tight. But it was so much fun lol.

Bike looks good man. Did it handle better or worse than you expected once you got on the highway?

It actually handled the same. A bit better if anything, because on normal streets my tires have been feeling.... woobly? But when i got to work I checked my tire pressure and realized they're pretty low, so that was the issue. But on the highway I didnt notice lol. The ninja handles great. People on bigger bikes or from the dealership would tell you otherwise, but thats horse raddish. You may get knocked around a little if there's lots of wind, but thats about it, besides the crazy cagers. lol
