Another Noob Gear Thread

Soon to be new rider collecting gear. I've picked up a Shoei RF1100 helmet and Teknic Violator gloves so far. I think a choice for pants has me the most bewildered. Are there any good textile pants out there off the rack that are made with 1000D Cordura or similar? Seems like Motofit has the only ones?

Opinions on other options welcome and I'm sure this has all been covered here before...

I know you're asking about textile but someone just recently said that CycleGear is having a sale (close-out?) on Bilt leather pants for around $100. Can't hurt to check them out.

How about a custom fit 1000D cordura pant for under $200?

Interested in opinions of those who wear these? Maybe with armor underneath instead of the "Tri-Armor" provided by Motoport?

Teknic brand is going out of business. Check the interweb for deals. I've been very happy with my Teknic leathers.
