Full system muffler as slip-on?

I bought a full system but I don't have a jet kit or gaskets yet to install it. I'm already shimmed a bit on the rich side so I was wondering if I could use the muffler section as a slip-on for the time being. Will this work?

It's a yoshi

You can use the whole system. The word is that you just need to be shimmed 3 washer for it. Enjoy!

You can install the full system while only shimmed, you won't do any damage, you just won't get the full potential from the exhaust until jetting.

Ok so that's a no, I figured I'd just go out and try it.

I know I can put the whole thing on, I'm waiting for the gaskets that are coming with my jet kit

the muffler part is not a restriction. you can swap this with your stock one with basically no effect on performance when you still have stock midpipes. it's the catalytic converter that kills the flow.

A slip on and the muffler section for the full system are different parts. With the full system it's like a slip on with more pipe welded on. I was trying to see if I could just slap that on as a slip on for a few days so I could hear it before I installed the whole system. My gasket/jet kit should be here tomorrow though I think, I can't wait.
