I got a 04 250f ninja and working on carbs I cleaned them all out several times and I’m not getting fuel in the bowls. I put gas in the bowls put it together and started it and it ran till they was empty and there not filling up I can watch the gas go to the carbs what am I doin wrong float needles look good keys are all clean and clear. I can unhook fuel line and crank and it squirts gas out so I no it’s getting fuel to the carbs

it might be case where petcock flows fuel, but carbs are using it up faster than petcock can supply?

When you say "I can unhook fuel line and crank and it squirts gas out", which end of hose did you disconnect? Where it goes into petcock or where it connects to carbs?

is the carb vent line capped/plugged? Note it should be totally free to "breathe", fully open, not kinked or plugged in any way, shape or form.

Have you looked for a plugged in-line fuel filter?

do you have a mesh inlet filter present in the black carb inlet fitting? Clogged up?

next in the line would be the carb float needles/seats. Stuck/sticking?

I believe a carb pull is in your immediate future.

I think conclusion of all this is fuel-rail is clogged or float-valves are stuck to their seats. Either one requires disassembling carbs for full restoration job.

Hmm ok, something between fuel-rail and float valve-seats then.
A USB camera can actually fit into fuel-rail to take look around.

When I had this issue, I had to pull the carbs and do a thorough cleaning using the wealth of information available here in ninjette.org. Long story short is that I got the carbs cleaned, re-installed, and sync'd as best I could. Bike runs very well now. However, cold start is an issue. I think I should have checked the choke lever action and plungers for issues. But once the bike starts and warms up, it runs very well. Many thanks go out to all who volunteer their knowledge and advice here.

That's strange, because there's not that much that would stop fuel flow between that point and the float valves.

Seems like the float valves would have to be stuck, or there is a significant blockage somewhere, which is odd as well.

agreed.....and as such, as I posted earlier.....

"I believe a carb pull is in your immediate future."

Anything less, I'd characterize as irresponsible.

Could be previously an internal filter got wadded up and went into fuel rail?

Although that would still dribble petrol through at slow rate.

Pencil eraser stuffed in there?

Potatoe or banana?
