The simple answer is NO.

But there are a couple of issues here. Firstly the 500 use Chain primary drive, which I was NOT aware of until I started looking at this !
You may be able to build a hybrid clutch from 250 New gen & a 500 clutch.

The 500 clutch is the same diameter (it uses the same plates as the 250) so could possibly fit the gear wheel & shaft etc, you'd have to check. But the oil pump drive on the rear is different & the 500 uses 13 plates compared to the 9 of the 250, which means the clutch basket is much deeper so the clutch cover will not fit.

250 Clutch

YMMV

Thanks for all the info. Atleast now I have a have a complete set of friction discs and steels. Would the springs be worth swapping? Thanks guys.

I can say change our the clutch springs with Barnett ZX600 springs, as the OEM springs are crap, and soft

My general recommendation is to use Barnett aftermarket clutch springs for a 1985-1989 ZX-600, Part # 501-50-05055. You can view them online at the Barnett catalog, here:
http://www.barnettclutches.com/produ...&clutch_cc=600
They can be ordered through your local dealership, or at a number of online sources. Here is one such online catalog:
http://www.exoticsportbike.com/6001.htm
Another option is the EBC CSK10 (see http://www.ebcbrakes.com/motorcycle_..._springs.shtml). This kit isn't quite as stiff as the Barnett, but is better than stock and usually a little cheaper. The kit does include six springs, while the EX500 only uses five, and Ninjette uses 4.
