Hello from N E Florida

Hello fellow Ninja owners!

I've owned a 2009 250 for almost three years. Took the MSF class, got my endorsement, then the 250.

Working on getting the bike running again (it's been sitting a while) so I can get back out there and ride.

Hello Eric, it's good to meet you. What has to be done to get it running?

Jim,

Ahh... the mystery question. I'll be posting a few questions if I cannot find the answers since she turns over but doesn't start.

I'd guess that the carbs need a thorough cleaning, but I was wondering if maybe you already did that.

That's definitely on my list, but I did check spark first. Unfortunately, that's when I saw both plug cables missing chunks of rubber toward the boots (where wire meets boot) and one has some bare wire exposed.

Must I get the entire ignition coil set or do they sell just the cables, or is electrical tape good enough

I'm not sure about newgens, but my pregen's coils have replaceable plug wires.

Welcome... Replace the wires, you want all the spark to get from ignition to plug
