Motocamping pics: Portola Redwoods State Park
Before the minivan decided to ruin our weekend, the hubby and I had a great night camping at Portola Redwoods State Park. Here are a few pics.
(Sorry; I love banana slugs!)

Banana slugs are awesome! They're huge, too. That one was probably 6" long.
The bike's a Suzuki V-Strom (DL1000).

We used to, before I hurt my back pretty badly in 2009. This is only the second overnight ride I've done since then.
We've done a ton of overnight/weekend rides over the past 10ish years, though, plus a couple of week long trips. In summer 2008, we rode together from Key West to Milwaukee and then home to California. I'm not sure Peter would want to do something that long again but it was really nice to share my passion for long distance touring with him.
