Moving grips outwards
Hi, I would like to have the grips 1" further from the center of the bike. I was wondering if I could do this without changing handlebars, perhaps by installing shorter bar ends and moving the grips outwards.

It’s the joint between bar’s end and bar-ends that stops you now. That joint location does not change with shorter bar-ends.
What you want to find are some flush bar-ends that’s same 22mm (7/8”) diameter as bars. Then you can slide grips 1” outwards over them. Need to drill another hole in bars for controls to clamp in new location. Kinda like whatever ends they use on these clip-ons. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VR3SFFX/ Last futzed with by DannoXYZ; August 4th, 2019 at 02:32 AM. |
