The fairings are not fiberglass they are plastic.

Repair is usually with glass cloth on the backside using abs as the resin.

Dremile the crack to form a valley on the front and fill with abs. Sand and paint. Sand and Paint. Polish.

I have a fiberglass hugger and swingarm cover that I'd like to touch up a bit.

fiberglass is an art and doing it well takes practice. its easy to make a huge mess and make your piece look like trash. if theres one tip that will help you its to practice a lot before you try to work on the piece you actually want to fix or change. doing a small patch on a smooth flat surface is fairly minor/easy. but when you are reconstructing a shape thats been damaged or creating a new shape, things get very tricky very fast

Would this be so hard? My swingarm cover is brittle and has a few cracks and marks, but it's still the right shape and doesn't need any real repair. I figure that I can make as big a mess as I want on the underside and just use Bondo/filler on the outside before painting it.
