Hello from the East Coast

Hello there.

Joining the forum in order to have access to information on my Ninja 300.

I started riding about 10 years ago, and then took a break when I went to grad school. Past bikes include an R6 and a CBR600RR.

This time around, I figure I should actually learn how to corner properly. Haha.

Welcome, funny you should say you want to learn how to corner when the R6 and CBR600RR are perfect for that

seems like you're in my area if you feel like riding in the spring in the mountains or at the track

Yeah, well, getting passed in the corners on a 600 by a 250 will highlight the need to work on cornering. Haha.

Virtually everyone on a 600 will get passed in a corner by a 250!

Welcome! Encountered you in another thread, but missed the chance to welcome you here. Seems like we have a growing ninjette population in this part of the world

If his current learning ever involves a "learning crash", his wallet may have a slightly different opinion on which is the perfect choice. My CBR is far from pricey, but the ninjette is still cheaper.

Been there, done that... Haha.... Chucked a CSS ZX-6R and my CBR at Sears Point in the past. The CBR was in the wet and I hit a huge puddle relatively upright. The Kawi, well, that was all me... Good thing neither one broke the bank.

Part of the thought process on the 300, beyond just trying to improve my cornering, is to eventually go 300 production racing (this is like a 2 years down the road reach goal).
