New old 2011 Ninja 250R
Gday, Mark from Amberley in Brisbane Queensland Australia, formally from Sydney NSW.
Just purchased a new old 2011 Ninja 250R. I've had bikes on and off for 35 years, I'm 51, dirt bikes, road bikes and a couple of scooters, I traded a Beewee 125 (Zuma) last week due to needing something that will keep up with traffic on the local Hwy, and also something to play with on the weekend. Its a sweet little thing, in good nick, been googling info on it and have frequents this forum lately, I joined because I needed some info that I needed to sign up to see. I did the throttle mod (zip tie) but was unimpressed, I've ordered a +06 R6 throttle tube which should fix the huge twist these things have from factory (my old wrist don't twist that far) also grabbed a 15 tooth sprocket (1st gear is useless stock), due to new chain it was to tight, so now I'm looking for a 107 link chain or a 42 tooth rear to try and get correct chain adjustment, also grabbed some spigots for a rear stand, they didn't fit correctly due to the lip between the swingarm and mounting point. Bugger. Anyways, once I've finally stopped being a idiot and get the correct parts (do it right, do it once, but where's thefun in that) traveling on the Hwy should be less stressful andI am also looking forward to throwing this little thing around some local hills.
