Suspension upgrades: which first?
I'm looking to improve handing on the 250 and was wondering which to do first: front or rear? Any ill effects on upgrade one over the other first?

why not do both at the same time? emulators and a nice rear shock would feel pretty sweet... would be fun to tune but honestly unless your rear tire is sliding out because you are wot in 6th gear at full lean over bumps you probably dont need it... the new gen suspension isnt horrible and having great suspension probably wont make it handle much better with the frame how it is

I don't think that it matters which order you upgrade them in, but whichever one you upgrade first will showcase the lack-luster of the other end's suspension abilities. So whenever you do one, the second one will likely come soon after

its better to have traction on your front tire and no traction on your rear tire than to have traction on yoour rear tire and no traction on your front tire.

To add: Our forks have no adjustment, whereas the rearshock really isn't horrible (it's not great either). To my understanding, the front would be a good place to start, but the rear should not be far behind either.

Looks like I'll start with the front since the front does most of the work. I read up on the install process for the cartridge emulators and I'll be adding preload adjusters to the mix.

Nice, be sure and let us know how it works out. My only real gripe about the Ninjette is the horrid front suspension. In fairness, I may be heavier (~190) than the target audience.
