I was expecting a camry haha. I've been nearly hit by them at least 4 times, and all of them ignored my horn, and each time I could look at them in the face.

1) sarcasm. I was being facetious to prove a point. But there's plenty of threads about the 'loud pipes save lives' debate, so I won't de-rail this one.

2) He's in CA; not a redneck, and not a massive truck. Start in southern OH, drive south through KY and keep going until you get to southern GA. Then you'll see some real redneck trucks. Besides, it's a Toyota. No self-respecting redneck drives a Toyota. Your choices are Ford, Chevy, or Dodge.

3) there's nothing wrong with country music. It's one style of music (like rap and jazz) that's uniquely American.

Dont forget the deja vu...
When riding behind another motorcycle, be extra cautious.
When the one bike passes they usually think thats it, and turn into the following one.

Happened to me, a while back.
When i pulled next to him and said WTF, he said he thought i had passed him.

trust me...the location is irrelevent. Every weekend i deal with lifted trucks, some aftermarket huge dirt tires, 3-4guys in 1 truck, budlight/other ****** beer everywhere...and 20 foot confederate/Murican flags hanging off the back end. Often illiterate and just generally stupid aswell.

I'm going to be dealing with these exact type of people tonight.

I saw a vid with this equipped...the point was raised that this could also be dangerous on the road in congested conditions since unsuspecting caters will be wondering where the train is at on the highway...

it is. I believe its illegal too. but thats what the internet is for i guess.

they constantly cruise around in groups of 4-5-6 trucks, all going a good 20mph over, blasting the horns at stop lights. A couple weeks back they caused some random woman to slam on her brakes and turn hard right...into the curb.

We don't have that many here. We have roughnecks and Oakies, wetbacks and porch monkeys, but not so many rednecks.

And trust me, Fresno is a quaint little town in that regard compared to some of these other cities further south.

You'd be surprised. I live in a rather redneck, massive truck part of CA. In fact, one time a girl said I wasn't a man cause I drive a car...

I installed 118 dB hella supertones on both my bike and car. They catch everyone's attention.

last time I got my inspection done, i was asked to hit my horn, and the guy jumped.

The Sac area, *immature giggle*, is actually a nice little suburbia. Traffic isn't that bad really, only drawback is that unless you're rocking a government job or working for a major player like pg&e, expect long commutes in your future. Or it's retail hell. It's hot as f**k from now till...forever. There are a few ghetto areas here and there. If I had to live in central cali, that would be the go to area for sure.

I drive a 2004 Tacoma 4x4. There is a huge blind spot on the rear sides of the bed that you cannot see even with a head turn if something is in it just right(motorcyclists, bicyclists and low profile cars love this spot for some reason ). I've spent quite a bit of time adjusting the mirrors on my truck to minimize that blind spot but I'm not sure all drivers are aware that it's an issue (as evident by the idiot that just wasn't paying attention) or that they bother to do a head check prior to lane changing. I've had vehicles hide in that spot in both day and night driving ugh.

Mind you, I'm not saying it's an excuse (it isn't), but as a rider, it's something that I pay close attention to whenever I am going past a Tacoma. Glad you're ok and that driver should have seen two bikes coming from behind to start with!
