Installed a tank without holes, a fairing with no cracks, and the gauges too!!

Towing our bikes up north, and got T-boned with my wifes Ninja, and my XV920 on the trailer.

about 5 hours later... Luckily everyone was OK

the wifes ninja didn't fare too well, but she did ride it about a mile. Broken right side peg/bracket and unusable shifter

I had already sourced a tank and it was fixed and smoothed and has been in self etching primer for a month.

sprayed my light grey primer

then the red

I procured a used fairing, that needed some work, it had been down on both sides, part of the top surface was broken, so I blended in one of the few good parts from the original red fairing. I used ABS cement as adhesive and filler, which seemed to work out well enough.

the gauge panel had some broken tabs, I also fixed those up with some Plasticweld epoxy

more tomorrow!

Youch! Probably not a fun experience to be t-boned at all, let alone while towing a trailer. Glad things are on the way to fixed up...

Yeah, it really sucks, especially since all 3 of my vehicles were liability only.
The trailer was destroyed, and I gave the car up to cover the tow bill.

The bike is back together, if you guys didn't notice, I shaved the reflectors, but we are getting the kawasaki text replicated in reflective white vinyl.

and I found out the hard way that the fairing/headlight/gauge bracket is not straight
