'87 - Need a new front tire (affordable) SUGGESTIONS? please
The front tire has some cracks on it and is super old (besides looking like a bicycle tire) I want something thats gonna give me really good grip, I live in LA so its super rough street riding most of the time and theres water and oil everywhere. Im not sure how old this tire is but one of my local mechanics told me he wouldn't ride with it (but I think he just wanted to sell me a tire asap)
Suggestions? |

Like cbdallas said, Pirelli MT 75s. Only $60 each, and they handle pretty well wet and dry.

There is not enough grip against oil on the road.
Nothing will give you more miles for your money than a Kenda tire. Over 20,000 miles front for around $65. Tire is soft and grip is decent in any condition.

+1 for the kenda. Last forever and even cheaper than you think. My front and rear were $105 shipped with tax from rockymountainatvmc.com

Will post picks once I get em on there. So 100/90-16 is the biggest without any rub, that can fit on my 87 ninja rim? |

The 87 Ninja is slightly different from the regular pregen so I'm not positive on the max tire size for that one, but probably yes, 90 is the biggest. Its the biggest for a regular pregen. I heard there was a mod to raise the fender for even bigger tires, but I don't recommend it.

The wheel weights balance the tire and rim.
