Now is a good time. If they are booked, check out the Microtel Inn & Suites in Robbinsville, NC. It's where stay when I go to the Dragon. It's in a good location.

You can never be to early. If your there midweek (my recommendation) your probably okay. Weekends get crazy and of course weather is a factor. Day either side of a holiday weekend are dicey.

Located in Stecoah, NC outside Robbinsville it's a terrific place to stay. Great accomodations, good food and an accessory store plus some of the best roads around. Owners John and Charlene Powell are motorcyclists too. I've stayed there several times and all were exceptional. Wardie

thats one heck of a route. All on a new gen 250 to boot. Hope your riding position is solid. That section through PA is gonna be a bear, with any luck some of those roads are not crap and there is minimal construction. Dont wear yourself out before you get to the dragon, would be a shame.
