Help with riding jackets
Hey, I live in Wisconsin, and im finally getting a cycle. And i was wondering what type of jacket I should get for around here. Keep in mind that i prolly wont be riding in the winter, but mosty in the summer and a lil bit in the fall. So I guess that im kinda lost. Any opinions would be awesome.
Here is a Joe Rocket jacket that i was looking at, it's on clearence for 80 bucks. I donno if this will work or not. Here's the link http://www.pro1powersports.com/produ...10296-661.html |

Can't help with what will work for you there, but I can throw more stuff into the mix to make your decision more difficult...

My advice is to get somewhere and try them on. You want to make sure the fit is snug and not too baggy. Baggy leads to road rash. Certain jackets I tried on fit me differently. I wear a Scorpion Jacket size M. But the Joe Rocket Small fit me as well. My Scorpion jacket has a zip out rain liner and a zip out winter liner for all seasons.

I agree, but if you can't find a dealer in your area to try them on, I highly recommend newenough for their very excellent return/exchange policy. That is the reason they get most of my motorcycle clothing and parts business.
Being out in the middle of nowhere sucks, in this regards. |

do what most do... try them on in the shop, find something you like that fits well, then buy it online. However, if you happen to have a great shop in your area that you want to see survive, consider buying the jacket from there to help support them. You want good dealers like that in business the next time you need help with your bike.

Wisconsinite here! I just got a Fieldsheer TourTemp jacket from KawiForums and it's really comfortable. Haven't gotten a chance to wear it while riding.
