What Did You Do to Your Ninjette Today ??

I started this thread, on another Ninja forum, and it's been pretty popular.

Killed a dove with it! Er... actually killed it with the padded shoulder of my jacket. The wife and I rode up to Wickenburg for breakfast. I had just cranked the throttle, coming out of a turn, when the flying rat nailed me. He did not survive.

She has put about 200 miles, on her new BT-003's, and loves them. ( Smoother ride, less stress.)

Rode about 35 miles to school then adjusted my shifter and did a lab. Then went back home. Might clean it today too (I hope so since there is a lot of salt deposits on it from when I rode in the rain)

Lubricated clutch cable and mounted new air horn! Can't ride right now cause I'm in the process of converting a 650R wheel to fit the rear. Larger tire to follow.

Felt so bad after demo riding a Triumph Street Triple R I bought her a new set of grips. I hope she'll forgive me.

Went for 2 quick impromptu rides. Might need to tighten the chain. Oh, and Kurt, I think this thread is gonna blow up here... :P

Hey, another ADV'r! I don't post much, cause I don't much play in the dirt, and the Rockies Region is pretty much... dirt... :P

I don't play in the dirt with my Ninja, unless you count Dirt roads. I use a different tool for the dirt.

That is awesome!

I wish I could ride mine to work everyday, but I take my daughter to school most mornings.

I didn't do *@#&*(@# to my Ninjette today. Whole family is sick and whining about it, including myself. Did watch a fun set of races today though, from 125's all the way to MotoGP...

Finally got my replacement parts on the bike after my fall a month ago. New rearset bracket + rear break lever and new right turn signal. My Brother-In-Law was kind enough to lend a hand and help get the parts on. My bike should be ridable again, just waiting on the weather to clear to get out and on a ride.

I changed the oil and filter, put in the new element fence and washer that I was missing.

Put in a new air filter element to replace the old one. It's OEM.

Synced the carbs.

Changed the spark plugs, and found out the previous owner used the wrong ones.

Went into town about 25 miles to do an estimate for some work. Got back on to crank....nada...nothing. No lights, no horn... checked fuses- all good. Tried to roll start down big hill....nothing. My mechanic come out, luckily he was nearby in town picking up parts from motorcycle store.

He said battery was dead. It had not given me trouble all day- no dragging- it was perfect. I DID run my gps all day and did not unplug during stops.

He went to store and bought some jumper cables. Jumped my bike off with his right away. My bike refused to run without it being jumped over to his running bike. No way I say- I got a new battery. We let it run for over 10 minutes, even took out headlight fuse. Still would not run without his bikes 12v assistance.

He ended up going to 3 stores looking for a battery. Finally got one and put back in. VROOOOM. What a guy! What a great mechanic! I was stuck over 4 hours. It was truly a sucky day!

Sounds like you spent at least part of the day on a motorcycle. The day couldn't have been a total loss.

Rode to Autozone hauling my sister's heavy-as-heck car battery. I had to chill an hour only to be told that it needed to be replaced. I returned $100 poorer but with a new battery and a stomach full of chicken wings. Unfortunately, the battery wasn't the cause of the issue we were having with the car.

I walked right by it in the garage. It was raining this morning and I don't own a pair of water-proof boots for riding. So instead of getting my shoes and socks soaked, I took the cage. The weather is supposed to be a bit nicer tomorrow, so I'll head out for a little bit then.

Same here... all ready to go.... helmet polished as well.... mirrored visor cleaned. My 7 commences Thurs... yay! (not) This morning lifted her Nelson Riggs cover to see if my "missing" wallet had fallen out from the night before...... wasn't there either.

I bought one! Then brought it home and yanked the fairings off in order to really degrease the engine as its a wee bit oily. Tomorrow before work I want to have the engine completely degreased and maybe swap out the spark plugs if I can get at them without removing the tank.

Yes they were using my bike to r&d a race system. I don't know if I can share any of the information on the new system because it is being patented. Guess you will have to let Kerry post about it.

They did install a standard 12" cf system with a flat end cap, plugged Kleen air system and put on a breather, air box removed and replaced with K&N pod filter, jet kit and dyno tuned it. They were doing testing on the airbox for the race system and asked if i wanted the k&n when they were done with it, lol I could not turn that down. I have the jetting and dyno chart at home.

Took a nice long liesurely ride taking in some of the fall foliage. Nothing earth shattering--did some good twisties for grins and giggles--but it was nice getting out and just relaxing with a bike that does it all so well. Life is good.

I put new tires on...Bridgestone Battleax 023....my buddy at the dealer gave me a pretty good price on them. Not much riding on them so far...just the ride home which was just a couple of miles, but I plan on riding about 200 miles this weekend...can't wait to "scuff them in".

I went medieval on my gear shifter. Had to un-pretsel it from my uhm... little incident.

Straightened it by prying it with metal pipes, then pulled out the torch, got it red hot and beat it on an anvil till it was flat. Then I plunged it into water and made grunting man noises.

Works like a charm...

Note, there is a plastic spacer inside gear shift that doesn't like red hot heat, had to temp replace it with electrical tape.
