Unhappy 1st rock chip in my visor

I was commuting in to work this morning and got shot with a rock. It hit my visor which left a nasty gouge in it. The crappy part is that it's right in front of my right eye, so I'll have to get a replacement really soon. It's supposed to rain tomorrow and and Friday and I don't really ride on the weekends so I guess the timing isn't too bad.

argh!

At least it didn't happen to my smoked visor.

Fixed to put into perspective .

I had my first "wow, glad I had my visor down!" moment like minutes after I finally flipped it down after riding several miles with it up.

haha. I always ride with my visor down. Only time it's up is at a stop and the visor's foggy. Even then, I only crack it. I've had two or three times when I'm glad I had a visor and they've all been on the freeway.

Amen to that. I for sure would have lost an eye at least once, and taking significant facial damage more than once, if it wasn't for my visor.

Giant bug last time i was up on ACH went splat on my visor just at my right eye. It was so big i had to pull off and clean off the helmet. I was so happy i had the visor down.
