Ninja 250r Decals
Hey Guys,
So after a little bit of an off I have seen it as my chance to plastidip my bike Matte Black like I have always wanted to, however, I have the issue that I have no idea where to get ninja 250r Decals I need to see where I can find the "Kawasaki" for the tank, and "ninja" for the side fairings. Any help is appreciated. Also I will put pics up of the Matte bike when it's put back together

When I did my bike, I took off all the graphics(2007 style) and redid mine with reflective set. I got them from a seller on eBay called 69CAM He also does copies of OEM graphics and in other colors as well, I would look him and ask him.
Unfortunately you can't save your decals, but as I said buy a reproduction set. Look for sellers, teampiccomx Another place you can try is http://www.yellowdoggraphics.com they have done work for me in the past,my SERENITY and helmet graphics in reflective silver to match the other graphics on the bike, and even helped a forum member design, the FELLOW RIDER graphics. FWIW: I would go with a satin/semi-gloss black, with black graphics in either vinyl or reflective vinyl. It would give the graphics a ghost appearance/look, similar to mine being all done in silver. I did a similar thing on my 500 which was painted gloss orange, and reflective orange on the rims, and orange reflective NINJA graphics, as pictured below, without then with flash.

I bought several decals from a user named "Dr_Nick_81" on eBay.. Superior quality vinyl and a really great guy to deal with.. He does sets with the KAWASAKI and NINJA logos that go for around $15.. Some of the variants cost a few dollars more, but that's due to the higher priced vinyl (metallic silver, etc).. If you look around enough, you'll even find the 250R logos, the Kawasaki logo for the windscreen, etc..
Here's the Silver Metallic set : http://www.ebay.com/itm/KAWASAKI-NIN...item259dcae1bf Several other colors are available, and if he doesn't have a listing for a particular color, he can and will find the color you want.. |

I had issues with getting decals to stick on Plasti Dip. They just wouldn't stay. Maybe adding additional glue will help.

Before applying graphics I would recommend washing the areas with DAWN, the chemical residue on the Plasti-Dip, one of them being a petroleum based product.
Also same advice goes for regular painted surfaces, with an Isopropyl alcohol wipe down after washing as well, thus makes sure the surface is clean, also make sure the temperature is warm outside, or use a hairdryer to make sure the adhesive is plenty warm.

As Ghostt said, you need to REALLY clean Plasti-dipped surfaces well before trying to apply vinyl decals.. While I haven't had to use the process my self, a buddy of mine has, and he recommended using generous amounts of Dawn to clean the area thoroughly.. He did state that for his purposes, he actually cleaned the surface and dried it completely twice before applying his decals just to make sure there were no issues..
The 250R decal itself can be had at http://sportbikestickershop.com/ It's the only place I've seen the decal offered with color options to suit your needs.. It only comes in one size, but fits nicely in a couple different spots depending on your preference.. I've seen it placed in the typical position on top of the rear seat area, but have also seen it placed just under the main seat where the fairing reaches forward and under the NINJA logo on the main fairing as well.. |

It has to have grease cutting ability, DAWN is the US leader in this, it's also gentle as well, they even use it to clean wildlife in the event of an oil spill, birds, otters, seals etc.....
Take a look at the links above I've supplied
