08-10 after market exhaust on pre gen

i know a stock 08-10 exhaust wont fit but would an aftermarket one fit, it kinda sucks being limited only to muzzy which is really hard to find used in good condition.

area P makes an exhaust for the pregens. AFAIK, the newgen exhausts, even if they fit (which I don't believe they will) are tuned different from what the pregens require, so even if they did fit, the bike may not run as well as it should as it would with an exhaust that is specifically designed for it.

Aftermarket Exhaust.

I have 2 bros. M6 dual slip-ons on my ride. Not so loud but I wear earplugs any way. There's a U-Tube video/audio so listen to the low pitch rumble of the twin pipes.

The following is a public service announcement....

(It's a post I made on an older thread. It was a response to the belief that there's any real difference in the sound between any of the aftermarket 2-into-1 exhaust systems: Two Brothers, Yoshi, Muzzy, Area P, etc.....)

Quote:
You mean "can't find a video of how LOUD it is"? Because that's the only real difference between one aftermarket exhaust and another.

The EX-250 is a parallel twin with a flat-plane crank. It's a good engine design for performance but the exhaust note, unfortunately, isn't pretty sounding to the ear.

A parallel twin with a flat-plane crank fires it's pistons only 180 degrees apart and the there's nothing for the remaining 540 degrees of engine rotation (during the 720 degree total for a 4-stroke engine cycle). You end up with a strange, "farty" sounding exhaust.

So, for our EX-250 engine the aftermarket exhaust question is, "How loud do you want your farty sounding exhaust to be?"

I have a full pregen 1994 yoshi exhaust with the can in great condition that I want to sell. I don't think it sounds like a muzzy, but I can tell you it screams especially at higher rpms. When you get to 6k and above it gets loud then around 9 its crazy.. Too much for me so I bought a stock exhaust and put that on and I like it. the stock is nice and quiet which is fine with me.

No, the new gen exhaust won't fit without serious mods.

For aftermarket, they are all loud, with the Yosh 2:1 being the least loud and best sounding. But the one I am familiar with was bigger than the one posted FS earlier in this thread.

I wasn't aware of any 2 into 1's but 2 bros and yoshi do make 2 into 2 slip-ons and full exhausts for the original ninja 250. There another company putting out "universal" cans now and they have some that fit the bike as well. Can't remember the name, but they were nice oval or round large but really short cans. Also there are plenty of used cobras recommended by no one and muzzys out there, have to look around and be patient for good set. Heh? what was that one? not the muzzy, huh, i **** hear you anymore, i have an in****tion in my ear (cobra), let me finger it out and bareask me again. **** ok, you can spell it out for me, heh?
