CCS adds a new class for ninja 250s

CCS added GT ultralight, they will grid behind GT lights and have the same rules as ultralight thunder bike. Looking forward to this, spread the word so grid sizes might be halfway decent.

This is not entirely true. I had remembered seeing on the CCS website that both classes were the same rules but it seems CCS made a mistake. I podiumed GT Ultralight and raced Ultralight Thunderbike but got DQ'ed only for GTUL. So WARNING, don't go by CCS website.

What do you mean? How would it be on a 600? Not trying to sound like an ass but just wondering if I'm an idiot and missing something (known to happen).

Well, no this was me riding my ninja 250 in two seperate classes that allows ninja 250's.

What did you get disqualified for? I.e. slicks, motor work, aftermarket wheels? There isn't a whole lot that isn't allowed in ultb...

If you had your rule book handy you could have protested your disqualification.
GT rules state: 6.5 GT - GT machines are unrestricted in all areas as long as they meet the
standards of Section 5. Nothing pertaining to the air box.

Bruce, afterwards I thought that would have been a possibility but I don't want to make a big stink out of it. It's my first time racing and I'm not racing for points this year. But it would have been nice to have gotten my first podium at my home track.

I'm in the process of getting a factory airbox to comply.
I just want to follow my passion of racing motorcycles and be competitive at it. So I'd recomend anybody else considering racing this class, spare yourself the grief and go by the gentleman's agreement.

I need to get up there for some racing. I can do those lap times.

Do you think they will pay me the big bucks?

I'll be at HPT in topeka, but not sure about any of the other rounds at this point, to far out to schedule...

I would be awesome to see a good group of 250 riders out there though!
