Noise in gas tank

Hello fellow ninjetters. There seems some kind of metal(?) noise in my gas tank (or it could be somewhere else?). I was tilting my bike while working on it in my garage and I heard something rolling around. There's no audible noise when I'm riding, but I think I'm able to hear it rattling around when I rev the bike and put my ear to the gas tank. Any thoughts on what it might be? I'm thinking it's some rust that got loose.

It could be debris or more likely it's the filter to the reserve part of the petcock that came loose. I'd go spelunking and find out.

It turns out it might just be the fuel level sending unit (part 52005 here: http://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/k...7654/fuel-tank). I'll spelunk when my fuel level is lower just in case. Thanks!

Could it be typical tank whistle? It sounds different on every bike.

Yeah, both my 300 and newgen did it. Whenever I would walk by it, it would make a groanning sound hahaaha I used to just say "oh hey there lil ninja, i'm good today, how about you?" lol

It's completely normal and happens fairly often. There's a thread on it somewhere
