Help! Need to plug petcock hole

So, I'm Kreeming my tank today, I removed it, took everything off, yada yada, washed it out a few times with water and degreaser, and realized for the life of me I can't find a way to plug the oval shaped hole where the petcock goes, or for that matter the holes where the screws go in. I guess I could use the original screws, but what about the petcock!? what should I do?
If I can't get it plugged, I can't keep it full with something, and if its not full with something, it's full with air, which means rusting. Help!

If you drink wine you could use the cork.
