Exclamation undertail help?

Hey everyone,

I want to get the piece circled in orange. Bikelites is asking for $90 for just that piece. Does anyone know where else I can get an under tail like that for less? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

That looks like it's part of their kit. Why would you only want one portion of their kit?

I recently installed a fender eliminator kit I bought off of eBay. The problem is since i took the entire fender off there are some open spaces near my tail light that leave the inside of the back seat exposed. I'm just looking for something to cover it up and make it look clean.

Can you take a pic? It would help to know what you're talking about. Can you share a link from your purchase?

I think the problem you are having is that most of the cheaper fender eliminator kits out there expect you to cut your original fender so that the piece you circled is the only thing left of your original fender.

I had to do something similar with the first kit that I bought off of eBay:

The piece you see in mine that is the piece you circled... is the remains of my original fender after hacking it up with a dremel and sanding it smooth. It was a lot of work to make it look factory... there really is no other way around it without buying a full kit.

Thanks. I was looking at my fender again and I was wondering how you got around the metal hooks and where the old tail lights went.

Once you take it all apart it should be pretty self explainatory... you need to drill out the rivets to remove the hooks if I remember currectly... it's been a while.
