GSXR Shock Conversion
I switched to an Ohlins on my racebike so my GSXR shock, dogbones, linkage, and spacers are for sale. This is everything you will need to switch over, the lock nuts even come drilled for safety wiring! The dogbones are the last ones @Rexbo made for gsxr conversions.
That having been said there's a catch... the adjuster on the GSXR shock are chewed to hell. Like.... raped. I didn't do it. I took my shock to a shop for service and they lost it so they bought me this one. If you think you can hack at it or can get a cheap gixxer to swap in then sweet! $40 + shipping for all or $25 shipped for everything but the shock!

Could probably do $30 shipped. The lower U mount (whatever the hell its called) on the shock is widened to fit over the shock mount so if you got a new gixxer shock it would have to be modified to fit. Easy stuff with a grinder, just needs a few mm.

Would these dog bones lower or raise the rear of a pregen?
Also, nice upgrade!

I wish that I had an answer for that. They will do something to the pregen Perhaps @choneofakind can lend some expertise here? Chris, if a newgen shock is put on a pregen are new dogbones needed?

Nope. No different dogbones needed for a newgen shock on a pregen. It raises the tail juuuuuuuust a skosh, Not sure if the eye-to-eye length is actually longer or if the spring just hasn't been beat up, like a higher mileage shock, but it's a drop-in replacement.
Rule of thumb for dogbones on the ninjette: longer = lowers the bike while shorter = raises the bike. |

Why is that? You would think the opposite is true.

Longer makes the connection point lower, which is great for offsetting a longer shock (gixxer is longer than stock 250) to regular height. If you keep the stock shock it makes the mounting point lower which lowers the rear end.
So these dogbones would then lower your rear shock. BUY THEM.
