Tony's Track Days - Razee Motorcycle Center 6/21/11 - Great Time

Great time yesterday at NH (Loudon). Tony's Track Day event, with a group of about 30 of us put together by Razee Motorcycle in RI. Great mix of bikes (a SE Ninjette in there, which one of the women went really well on scraping the stock muffler and footpegs). Great weather, ontrack and classroom instruction, and a great bunch of people. Thanks to John, Brian, and Gordon for putting it together, transportation, garage support.

No videos, and I believe pics will be posted on line after today's track day. I think one of those R6 trackbikes had a video camera. I never even got over to the photo stand, and i think pics started at $20.

We had garage 7 / 21 to ourselves, but everyone there had garage access. Its a Nascar track (albeit a small one) so lots of garage space. Not the greatest bike track in fact the AMA doesn't race there anymore. CC Cowboy probably knows more about that.

Greg, is there no video because the GIRL on the 250 passed you every 4 laps?

Well she was quick. There was a woman on a new R1 who was hauling. She would come around and that thing had an awesome bark when she let off the throttle.

Wow - awesome pics. How about the bike in the water. Those bikes with that fat exhaust pipes smell like they are burning oil.

How many famous guys did you see?

I only ever crashed there twice. Once on turn eight in practice (twisted the frame after we over built the engine) and once, on a trackday, coming down the hill when a formula car puked his exhaust pipe in front of me. Trackdays used to be run during the week and anyone with a racing license could use the track. When I say anyone I mean any form of racers from bikes to karts to cars were on the track at the same time.

Lots of famous ones including Fast Freddie. Bettencourt was a colorful guy.

Thats crazy re the trackdays - must have been like the Baja 500 with all different vehicles at once.

Not signed up yet, but i think it will be good to hit NH again, now that I know what the turns are. Not to mention more convenient. Maybe someday hit a nice track like Daytona if I can get the logistics together.

Indeed a great day!! My husband and I attended as well and we are signed up to go back in October. I'm going to need some modifications to the bike after scraping the exhaust and the footpegs in turn 3 and in the "bowl"
