Distance between forks and header?

So my 20010 was wrecked really bad. And the forks are bent. So when replacing the forks and triples what is the correct distance they should be. Is there away to measure? I just want to make sure the frame didn't take a blow as well before I spend anymore money.

Do you have the service manual by chance? Not saying that this particular measurement would be in here, but it would certainly cover the re-assembly of this area, and may have something related to frame.

I'll try to find a link, but def look in the NinjaWiki.

Look at the triple tree neck, and the welds that attaches to the frame.

Also take some pictures and post here, so we can see, and offer our opinion.

TGerry described my bike as banana shaped because of how bent it was lol. Front end was 6 inches off from center. The corner of the bracket shown in the second picture had been completely bashed in to the point where it was pinching in the undertail and made it hard to remove. The tail was also off from center. Definitely an improvement now!

He did mention that the races of the steering head bearings were dented from the impact though and while it's rideable, the steering will be loose and just not very good. Looks like I'll have to get those tapered bearings earlier than expected.
This shop is near you. maybe see if your frame is safe to use as is or needs some repair

Not as close as you think. Plus I would need to know a basic price before I commit to the drive. But I will have someone look at it.mjust seems the frames and what not were that strong.
