Jeff Tigert's review of the Ninjette on the track
Jeff is a top-level AMA guy, and paid Honda factory tester. In other words, he can ride. He raced in the Ninja 250 class earlier this year for fun, and he posted up his thoughts in this thread on BARF.

I had forgotten about those videos! Here's a video of the same race that Jeff's talking about in that thread. (He won.)

I had an absolute blast racing with Jeff in 2 races. Not often that you get to rub elbows at speed with an AMA racer
But those 140lb dudes just murder me off the line at the start. I gotta figure something out to deal with that. Maybe a bungee cord??? |

Aren't half of them on your bikes? One disconnected sparkplug wire per bike and you're back in the hunt!

My gear alone approaches 155. Leather is heavy.

Richard, what brake pads are you using on your bikes? I wore out my front stock pad after 6000 miles and 3 track days. Looking for suggestions for next year.
Also, I saw your bike at Catalyst yesterday. I was there to get some safety wiring done and ended up getting a set of BT090s. I was tempted to ask Tige to call you and ask if I can borrow your rearsets. I looked at them and thought, well he doesn't need them right now anyway. |

Maybe I'm too hard on the front brake. I hardly ever touch the rear and haven't used it at any of the trackdays yet. I dunno... I wasn't expecting it to be that far gone already.

I'm not quite as ballsy as you yet so I do a decent amout of braking Touching down the stock ones is a little unnerving. Although I'm sure that has alot to do with my body positioning... |
