Brake Caliper Bracket Torque...Bit Of A Weird One
Been away for a while but great to see how things have progressed
The problem I have is, for whatever reason I took off the following nut (highlighted in red) : No idea how I got it off while the caliper bracket was off the bike...but I would like to know if there is any specific torque value I need to use when putting it back on ? (Part of the story is I found the front caliper bracket pin (43045 in that picture) was considerably bent, no idea how that was even possible...dealership were the only people to touch this bike with the previous owner....) I searched everywhere, nothing mentioned in the service manual...apart from Quote:
Appreciate any help |

I don't know the correct response to your question, but I would use the generic torque for a bolt of that diameter:
36 in-lbs for M5 62 in-lbs for M6 13 ft-lbs for M8 22 ft-lbs for M10

Yeah I was actually thinking along the same lines.
That bolt/pin sort of locks into the caliper bracket (the caliper bracket has a hole in it kind of like a half moon) so it's practically locked into place anyway... cheers mate |
