Welcome Mike!

Many members here have installed that kit, hopefully they will help you soon.

Good luck!

Got the rpms working now still can't get the gas gauge working. Also how do you set this thing up to work with the speedo adapter that comes with the pnp kit?

When all on your bike is standard then circumference is 714 and 6 sensor points.
If your front tire is not 110/70 then you must look for the best setting with GPS check, but take the setting before as basic.

fuel gauge needs to be plugged in (green/white plug) and the unit need to be set on the correct of two OHM choices. If it's not plugged it I think the fuel display is completely blank like it's missing. If you have it on the wrong setting then it'll rear at like 10% of what it really is so a full tank will read 10% and anything less is empty. I haven't figured out why but in cold weather the fuel gauge reads much lower and seems to have gotten worse over the 80,000 miles I've have the koso. I still love my Koso gauge after 80,000 with no problems.

OK so you don't leave the fuel sensor coming from the tank plugged into the actual harness that it was originally in?

It's been a long time(4 years) since I installed it but that green plug from the bottom of your tank must still be plugged into something for it to read. I imagine since the PnP kit is rather simple the gas tank plug goes to it's oem plug same as before. Like I said I have a green connector plugged into a white connector.

I could also have the colors mixed up and it's white from the tank and green from the harness

Yes I kinda thought with the pnp that the fuel gauge wires would connect to the gauge through the original harness, I may have to try some cutting to fix it, but it's showing up blank like you said

why would you need to cut anything? unless you've already modified the oem harness in a way you shouldn't have?

Is it supposed to be a random green wire from the harness? All I've seen is the 2 big connectors the red power wire and the oil and water sensor wires coming from the pnp kit ? The harness beneath the tank is connected

I never said anything about wires, I mentioned connectors only. It looks like white from the tank and green from the harness. One pic with the fuel gauge connected and one with it not.

Maybe you could make sure there is fuel in the bike and measure the ohms coming from the white plug to make sure the bobber in the tank is working. Did you old fuel gauge work?

There is like a 5 second delay after connecting the plugs before you get a reading which caught me off guard one time.

Yes the old gauge worked fine, saw on that thread that the fuel sensor doesn't work with the plug and play kit, wonder what genius designed the kit to not use it
