Hello from B'ham, AL
My name is Matt. I got into riding about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. I started out riding on a v-strom 650(dads bike). About 6 months ago my dad showed up with a bright yellow 03 250, with only 477 miles, that had been sitting for about 2 years. $1200, A carb cleaning, fuel tank restoration, and 4000 miles later here I am ready for more(miles that is)! My ultimate goal for this bike is to be a track bike. I grew up around racing. I have raced go-carts (enduro roadtrack racing), Dirt bikes, and a little autocross in a miata. So I have the erge to get back to the track and drag a knee!
I have been following this site since i got the bike but never really posted. I must say this site is great, its alot more laid back and welcomes ideas(mods) alot better than ninja250.org. I swear you post something there and 3/4 of the response are asking why would you want to do that its just a 250! Well its my 250 and because i can and want to. Sry had to get my rant out of the way. Sidenote: At the end of August me and 3 others are checking out of B'ham and heading to the GP races in Indianapolis. Any ninjettes going to be there. |

Thanks for the welcomes. Yes Barbers is amazing and the Museum just takes it over the top. I am 2-0 at Barbers racing go-carts. That is def/ one of the highlights of my life thus far, because the second race was a battle the whole race 1st...2nd...1st....2nd... Ahhh gives me the goosebumps thinkin about it. Go-carts only got to race there twice, My classes only once. Cost too much to rent the track so they couldn't make it back.
This will be my first trip to Indy! I am pumped! |
