Hayabusa/gsxr front end swap
Hey guys so after many years of brutal winter hack service my little ninjette is being retired and replaced by a dual sport.
But gonna try and save her brought it into the kitchen and am currently stripping it down to the frame to have it cleaned up and powder coated. It's going to be naked but the forks look tiny. Based on some posts on here it seems like a gsxr or hyabusa front end is esentially a drop in replacement? Quote:

Can anyone confirm this? I know for other swaps you would need the steering stem welding/cutting and pressing into a new yolk? All balls bearings gives me a set of conversion bearings so pretty sure it's doable but I'm concerned about stem length as this post mentions it Quote:

Well brain responded to my email and yep it should just be the bearing change.
I will update once I get a hold of some gsxr triples and update |

So up on the stand and slowly getting it apart.
Keeping an eye out on ebay for gsxr front ends might have found a good 750 one. Is there a limited number of years that will fit finding it hard to find stem length info. Soooooo much rust... |
