Lubing the throttle cables

So I'm starting to put together a "to do" list for maintenance items to complete to get my bike ready for the upcoming riding season. One of these items are lubing the clutch and throttle cables which the maintenance schedule says should be done every year. There's a DIY on here for lubing the clutch cable and it seems simple enough, however, there isn't one for the throttle cables (at least I haven't seen one). Has anyone lubed the throttle cables and have any tips on how to approach this? Is it as simple as opening up the control pod and lubing them from there?

lube the throttle cables the same way as you lube the clutch cable. you will need to disconnect them from the throttle tube to do a thorough job. while you have the cables off, lube the barrel ends with some grease when you reassemble.
