Huh? You can buy wheel weights at any moto shop. There's nothing special about the stock weights.

I was wondering if the 300 wheels were lighter.... found my answer:

Funny. I saw the titles and merged the threads & moved it into items wanted, even before reading them. Once I read it, I realized my oops, and moved the combined thread back into the 300 tech area...

Thanks! I was carrying my 250r rear wheel with the new 140/70 tire on it and I was like damn this little thing is heavy! Was wondering if the 300's were a little lighter... looks like the front is a little lighter by .15kg or .33lbs

Not enough of a difference for me to be concerned about! I wont be running a front brake rotor though so that will help!

There's a school of thought that says front brakes may actually be beneficial.

LOL this is for a land speed bike... 1 mile to get up to speed and 1 mile to stop. you can probably coast to a stop in that distance

You could always get an aftermarket forged or carbon fiber wheel set to drop some serious weight. They cost a ton though - like 2-3k. It's a dream mod for me.

If you do radials tires and aftermarket rims you'd have a very light set of wheels.

I'm a friend of those Gale-March's also (even when the rims i use now are heavier) but it looks like that this is a waste of money, or?

Will have to look into that. I'm not personally looking to upgrade my rims at this time, but love finding out about all the great choices out there. Thanks for the info.

I'm surprised they didn't have magnesium.... I wouldn't waste my time getting aluminum over magnesium...

The rear wheel was just super heavy carrying it but yet again I'm used magneisum wheels with 180-190s on them weighing the same or lighter!

No big deal, I was just looking to see if the 300's would be a solution.

These are pictures of when I weighed the rims. Both are stock Kawasaki rims, I purchased the wider rim from Kawasaki Philippines for about $ 360.00 usd.

It was strictly plug and play deal.

I was wondering if they were lighter at all but turns out they are not. Already put brand new rubber on the newgen wheel and will be running those, I need them as light as possible.
