06/13/10 Wild Ninjette 500 Mile Day Cruise to Carrizo Plain and Hwy 58 to 101
With 2 friends we set out from ACH Shell at 9am. Winding our way thru hwy 150 to Ojai, and then Hwy 33 to Maricopa and Taft. From there we found the north side of Carrizo Plain with a view of Soda Lake.
Carrizo Plain was very desolate and hot! Then the ride thru Hwy 58 was really interesting with turns of every kind including roller coaster ride to the coast. My kind of road!  Way home we stopped by the Madonna Inn, and pressed on to Santa Barbara for some seafood. Even got to watch the last part of the NBA finals! Go Lakers! Nice report! I love that area. 58 is one of my favorite roads in the state.
