Alex, Robert Pace: Easy to Moderate Gear: ***ABSOLUTE MINIMUM leather/textile jacket, gloves, knee pads/protection and ankle-high boots required*** Leather/textile jacket, gloves, Knee pads and ankle high boots and you are good to go on this SCAR ride. (Gear will be checked!) Road Mix: 75% canyons, 15% freeways, 10% local The variety ride is here! From the oceans to the mountains and valleys, from canyons to local roads, you will experience everything from tight curves to wide open straight roads. Due to the fun factor of this ride, please make sure that you wear all the protective gear you have; no jeans please. We will meet at the 76 gas station at the corner of PCH and Sunset at 8:30AM (KSU at 9:00AM). Lunch will be at Boccali's Italian restaurant in Ojai (don't forget cash). http://www.boccalis.com/ This is an ALL day ride, expect to be back at the 76 gas station (which is our start/end point) by 5:00 PM. Are you saying the plan is to drag knee? I don't own anything better than Icon Victory re-inforced kevlar jeans so I guess that means I'm not eligible?

Man this looks like a nice ride. Tired of the same 'ol roads here in San Diego County...would be nice to see something different for a change. Won't be making it, but somebody take some pics and post them up!

Large group of 21 so far for this scenic ride!
Must bring knee guards. They will be checking gear! Little technical in some canyons so you must be familiar with negotiating slow sharp turns. See you tomorrow! |
